On Friday, Just The News reporter John Solomon shared unedited footage of January 6 events that reveals the audio in the footage presented by the January 6 Select Committee was tampered with. The video showed protesters breaking windows and entering the Capitol during the 2021 election protests. In the committee’s footage, people were heard shouting “go, go, go” over sounds of breaking windows and loud bangs.
The footage also contained the voice of a Capitol Police officer yelling, “We have a breach in the Capitol!”
Last week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) granted access to footage to three journalists, including Solomon. On Friday, Solomon shared the unedited footage which was completely silent, without any sounds added by the committee’s production team.
“That footage was thrown in there to create a dramatic, movie-like effect. It’s no longer evidence now,” Solomon said. “It’s now been turned into, a little bit of propaganda. It’s one thing if they told the public that they did it, but they don’t.”
The committee edited the audio on a top-down view of the first breach of Capitol Police lines outside the building. They included sounds of a loud, angry mob in both this footage and the CCTV footage from inside the building.

The committee has released new footage that reveals the work done by James Goldston, a former ABC News producer hired to enhance the footage for primetime hearings. Goldston was enlisted as a “secret adviser” to transform documents, audio recordings, and videos related to the events of the day into captivating television.
According to Axios, the hearings were advertised as a significant investigation. Recently, journalist Solomon shared a video that depicts former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calmly leaving the building, while her daughter, a documentary filmmaker, captured the footage for an emotional impact. Solomon and reporters such as Julie Kelly are planning to release more videos in the future.
