Dr. Gal Luft, the co-director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, was preparing to reveal explosive information about a Biden family international corruption scandal. Now he has suddenly gone missing under mysterious circumstances after a Larnaca court had released him on bail, Cypriot website Philenews reported on Wednesday.
Luft was an adviser to CEFC China Energy, which paid Hunter Biden around $5 million in 2017 alone. Luft said that he was arrested on bogus weapon trafficking charges in January, claiming that it was attempt to silence him.
Luft’s connections to CEFC China Energy, an energy conglomerate based in Shanghai, have been highly scrutinized lately. It has come to light that Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, allegedly received an enormous sum of around $5 million from CEFC in 2017 alone. Luft, himself an adviser to the same company, is believed to have had access to sensitive information related to this scandal. Therefore, his sudden disappearance has raised several questions about the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
Luft claims that his arrest in January on supposed weapon trafficking charges was a clever ploy to silence him. Given the magnitude and the gravity of the case, it is imperative that the authorities conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that his disappearance is not linked to the corruption allegations being investigated against the Biden family. The American people deserve a full and transparent disclosure of the truth behind these allegations.
Here’s more context from the Jerusalem Post:
Israeli professor Gal Luft, who is wanted by US authorities for arms dealing, has gone missing in Cyprus after a Larnaca court had released him on bail, Cypriot website Philenews reported on Wednesday.
Luft had been arrested at Larnaca International Airport, in southern Cyprus, after Interpol issued an arrest warrant against him on suspicion of arms trafficking to Libya and China. He was then slated for extradition to the United States.
…..
On March 28, Luft did not appear at the Paphos police station as required. On the same day, his lawyer declared Luft a missing person and expressed concern for his client’s life.
Luft’s abandoned vehicle was discovered a day later, and according to Philenews’ sources, Cypriot police are considering the possibility that Luft has left the country entirely.
“I’ve been arrested in Cyprus on a politically motivated extradition request by the U.S.,” he claimed in February. “The U.S., claiming I’m an arms dealer. It would be funny if it weren’t tragic. I’ve never been an arms dealer.”

According to recent reports, Hunter Biden, and his uncle Jim were allegedly paid exorbitant amounts of money by Chinese energy executives in return for their access to the FBI and the promotion of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Luft learned of the scheme through his relationship with Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, two Chinese business partners of Hunter Biden’s. From 2015 to 2018, Luft partnered with Ho’s nonprofit organization, the China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC-USA), to organize international energy conferences. Ye confided in Luft that Hunter had an informant within the FBI who they paid large sums of money to provide them with sealed law enforcement information.
Ye allegedly offered Hunter Biden $1 million to be his “private counsel” after he learned from their informant at the FBI that he was being investigated by the Southern District of New York in 2017. Ye then returned to China, leaving behind his family in his $50 million Central Park West penthouse. After returning to New York, he informed Ho that it was safe for him to come back to the US.
However, upon Ho’s return to the US, he was arrested by FBI agents in JFK airport on charges of bribery and money laundering, among others. Records obtained from Hunter Biden’s laptop revealed that CEFC paid him $1 million to represent Ho and contact his FBI sources on his behalf.
Congress has been investigating bank statements showing that an additional $1,065,000 was transferred from a Chinese company affiliated with CEFC to Hunter, Jim, and Hallie Biden, who was Hunter’s former lover and the widow of his late brother, Beau. This payment was made in monthly installments for 14 months from August 2017.
Despite Dr. Luft’s whistleblowing and subsequent interview with federal investigators for over 18 hours in March of 2019, no action was taken by the Department of Justice. The House Oversight Committee is currently investigating these allegations and trying to determine the reason for these large payments from China to the Biden family. Hunter Biden’s legal team recently met with prosecutors at the Justice Department to discuss potential charges against him from the Delaware criminal investigation.
