Republican lawmakers grilled mayors from cities like Boston, Chicago, and New York—places where illegal immigration is straining resources and increasing crime. These mayors, of course, did what Democrats always do: dodged responsibility and blamed everyone else. Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu even tried to argue that her city’s sanctuary policies don’t protect criminals—because, apparently, if you say it enough times, it becomes true.
