ICYMI – Oh, the sweet smell of irony. Former Secretary of State John Kerry, who was in Dubai to discuss the grave issue of Climate Change, apparently had his own gaseous emission to contribute to the environment. Yes, you read that right. The man may have farted. Loudly. On stage. While delivering a speech on climate change. You can’t make this stuff up!
The incident occurred during a panel discussion where Kerry was sharing the stage with Becky Anderson, Managing Editor of CNN Abu Dhabi, and Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency. As Kerry was talking about US policy on coal power plants, an unmistakable fart sound erupted over the microphone, causing the crowd to burst into applause, seemingly oblivious to the crude interruption.
Anderson’s reaction was priceless. She jerked her head aside and clamped her hand over her mouth, possibly to stifle a giggle or perhaps to shield herself from any potential odor. Birol, on the other hand, appeared unfazed, continuing to nod his head as if deep in thought. Maybe he was just being polite, or maybe he was pondering the methane emissions from the unexpected source.
It seems John Kerry should cut down on his greenhouse gases ????????????
A loud fart sound can be heard as John Kerry is lecturing about the #ClimateScam.
You be the judge, did Kerry fart? pic.twitter.com/cjFpMRI4lA

Larry O’Connor of Townhall Media didn’t hold back in his criticism, stating that Kerry’s alleged flatulence was an embarrassment to the United States. He even went as far as suggesting that Kerry should lose his job over this incident. Now that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think? After all, everyone has the right to pass gas, albeit preferably not while delivering a speech on climate change!
Meanwhile, the video of the incident has been making rounds on social media, with netizens having a field day. Some are laughing it off, while others are using it as an opportunity to criticize Kerry’s policies and actions.
But let’s not overlook the elephant (or should I say, the fart?) in the room here. If this incident teaches us anything, it’s that even the most serious of discussions can be lightened up by a little bit of humor (or a loud fart). So, let’s all take a moment to laugh at the absurdity of the situation. After all, laughter is the best medicine, right? It just goes to show that no matter how high and mighty you are, nature has a way of bringing you back down to Earth.
