Conservative commentator, Tucker Carlson, recently voiced his support for Vivek Ramaswamy as a potential Vice Presidential candidate to run alongside former President Trump. During a recent segment, Carlson highlighted Ramaswamy’s evolution on the campaign trail, noting a significant shift towards authenticity in his positions.
“I kind of like Vivek,” Carlson stated, acknowledging the criticism Vivek often faces. “I think he’s one of those people who everyone beats up on… for being he’s a phony and all this stuff.” He went on to add, “I feel like Vivek’s positions have gotten much more sincere since the beginning of this.”

Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur known for his “anti-woke” stance, has often emerged in discussions as a possible Vice Presidential choice for Trump. Their past interactions, including dinners and meetings, coupled with Trump’s positive remarks about Ramaswamy’s unwavering support, have fueled speculation about his potential involvement in a Trump-led administration, possibly as a running mate.
The endorsement from a figure like Carlson holds weight in Republican circles. Carlson’s comments come at a crucial time as the Republican party prepares for the upcoming election cycle. With speculation about Trump’s potential running mate intensifying, Vivek’s political stance may position himself as a strong candidate in the race for the Vice Presidency.
However, not everyone received such glowing reviews from Carlson. The conservative commentator declared his opposition to Trump’s re-election campaign if Nikki Haley was to be selected as his Vice Presidential candidate. Carlson criticized Haley for being, in his view, contrary to the country’s interests, labeling her addition to the ticket as detrimental.
Despite initial hesitance about government roles, Ramaswamy seems to be warming up to the idea of joining Trump’s ticket, especially if he doesn’t secure the party’s nomination for the 2024 Presidential race. Concurrently, Haley, another hopeful, has faced Ramaswamy’s criticism head on. He has branded her a “RINO” and challenged her foreign policy stance on multiple occasions.
Ramaswamy also criticized Haley for allegedly collecting secretive speaking fees and corporate stock options while pursuing a presidential bid saying, “It’s Hillary Clinton on steroids.” He added, “These are not the people, whether it’s Biden or Haley, these are not the people we should want deciding whether to send your kids to die fighting somebody else’s war.”
As the political landscape continues to evolve, these recent remarks from Tucker Carlson add another layer of intrigue to the speculation surrounding Trump’s potential running mate. Whether or not Vivek Ramaswamy will be chosen remains to be seen, but his name is certainly in the mix.
