In the 2008 movie “Gran Torino,” Clint Eastwood played the role of Walt Kowalski, an older man who was confronted by four members of a Detroit Hmong gang. The film, which was directed and produced by Eastwood, explored the theme of older people not being pushovers.
During a memorable scene in the movie, Kowalski responds to the gang’s threat with the quote, “Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn’t have f***ed with? That’s me.” Recently, a gang of real-life thugs in Chicago ran into a similar situation.
Three Chicago teens learned a valuable lesson about the Second Amendment and the power of senior citizens after they encountered an older man who they should not have “f***ed” with. The man, who is a 56-year-old citizen of Chicago was sitting in his vehicle around 6:00 a.m. when the incident occurred. The man was calmly sitting inside his vehicle when the thugs rolled up.
According to FOX News, a group of teens in Chicago thought they could mess with an elderly man sitting in his car, but they were in for a rude awakening. When one of the teens pulled a gun on the man, he was ready for them. As it turns out, this senior citizen had a legal concealed carry permit and wasn’t afraid to use it.
After a brief struggle, the man stepped back and fired off several rounds, sending the would-be robbers running back to their car. But they didn’t get far before crashing and leaving one of their own shot in the head and listed in critical condition, another hospitalized with a bullet wound to the shoulder, and the third with a broken leg.
All three teens, ages 15 to 18, allegedly tried to rob the man and got exactly what they deserved. It’s a lesson they won’t soon forget, and that lesson is that there are some old people whom “you probably shouldn’t have f***ed with.”
