The U.S. Supreme Court just did something that defies common sense, national security, and plain logic: it unanimously ordered the United States to bring back an alleged MS-13 gang member — from El Salvador’s most notorious prison — back to our soil. Yes, back. As in, the same man ICE deported because he was a known associate of a violent transnational gang is now being chauffeured back into the United States, courtesy of the highest court in the land.
The man in question, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was deported last month and dumped straight into El Salvador’s infamous CECOT super-prison — where, by the way, gang leaders aren’t exactly welcomed with cupcakes and counseling sessions. According to court filings, Abrego Garcia was allegedly a high-ranking MS-13 member. In 2019, he was arrested alongside several other gang members who named him as a senior figure. So naturally, he’s now being treated like a victim.
The Supreme Court ruling was unanimous — no dissent from even the so-called conservatives. What gives? The justices didn’t argue that Abrego Garcia wasn’t dangerous or didn’t have gang ties. Instead, the decision hinged on what they called an “administrative error” — a mix-up where ICE supposedly sent him away despite a court order not to deport him due to “risk of persecution.” That’s right — the same guy who poses a threat to us was deemed at risk himself by a judge in Maryland, Paula Xinis, who ordered his return last Friday.
President Trump, understandably, wasn’t thrilled. His administration asked the Supreme Court for an emergency stay to block the order. Chief Justice Roberts granted a temporary pause, but after the dust settled, the Court came back and ruled the administration must now “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s release and return.
So let’s get this straight: We’ve got a guy tied to one of the most worst gangs on the planet and the Supreme Court says, “You know what? Let’s bring him back. Our bad.”
No wonder Americans are fed up with the system. When our laws are being twisted to protect gang members over law-abiding citizens, we’ve got a serious problem. This isn’t justice. It’s insanity — wrapped in legal jargon and served with a side of national self-destruction.
