You’d think after all the screaming about unity and values, the Democrats could at least pretend to be on the same page. In fact, it’s almost comical that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and John Fetterman wear the same party label. But here we are: AOC flying off the handle at anything with a pulse if it’s tied to President Trump, and Fetterman—of all people—deciding maybe, just maybe, Trump was right on something as critical as foreign policy.
Let’s start with AOC. The moment President Trump made a measured, strategic move in Iran, she skipped over facts, skipped over diplomacy, and skipped straight to impeachment. Not criticism, not debate—impeachment. Because nothing says “I have no serious argument” like shouting impeachment any time you disagree with a Republican president. This is the same woman who treats every policy she doesn’t like as an existential crisis and assumes Twitter tantrums count as governing. She wasn’t interested in whether the decision reduced threats or protected American lives. No, she saw Trump’s name and reflexively tried to grab headlines. That’s not leadership; that’s performance art.
Obama launched 563 drone strikes on Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia without a single declaration of war.
You didn't have a problem with it.
You didn’t impeach biden for his Middle East unconstitutional bombings either.

Now here comes the curveball: John Fetterman, the tattooed, hoodie-wearing senator from Pennsylvania who somehow became the adult in the Democrat room. Instead of throwing a fit, Fetterman looked at the facts. He read the statement, weighed the policy, and agreed. Imagine that—someone in the Democratic Party willing to admit that President Trump made the right call. He posted on X, “As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS,” linking Trump’s announcement and giving credit where credit’s due.
As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS.
Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities.

Credit to Fetterman for breaking the cult-like groupthink that’s come to define the modern left. He didn’t let party loyalty get in the way of common sense, which is rarer than a Biden press conference without cue cards. It’s hard to say how long he’ll survive with that kind of independent thinking, but for now, at least one Democrat hasn’t completely lost touch with reality.
So yes, technically AOC and Fetterman share the same political party. But if this Iran policy moment proves anything, it’s that not all Democrats are equally unhinged. One reacts like an adult, and the other reacts like a college sophomore discovering activism for the first time. And we wonder why Americans are tired of the circus.
