Remember when we were all biting our nails over the possibility of Aaron Rodgers trading in his football for a stint in politics? If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, I’m referring to Aaron Rodgers as being a potential running mate. Yeah, that’s not happening. I know, I can almost hear your collective sighs of relief. And let’s be honest, we don’t need another celebrity in politics, right?
According to Mediaite, it appears that RFK Jr., yes, that’s Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for those of you playing at home, is expected to name Nicole Shanahan as his VP pick for his independent presidential campaign. Who is Nicole Shanahan, you ask? Well, she’s an attorney and entrepreneur from California who was once married to Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google. Impressive, right?
JUST IN: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to name Nicole Shanahan (no relation to Kyle) a California-based attorney and entrepreneur once married to Google co-founder Sergey Brinn, as his running mate for his independent bid for the presidency (Mediaite).

Apparently, Shanahan was the creative genius behind Kennedy’s Super Bowl commercial, which was, let’s admit it, pretty well received. A source close to the Kennedy campaign says they align on numerous issues. Yeah, no surprise there. But here’s the juicy part – Shanahan might be pumping millions into the campaign to help fund the ballot access initiative. That’s some serious cash, folks. But hey, what’s a few million between friends, right?
Now, before you get too excited, let’s remember that Shanahan may have the financial means, but does she have the qualifications? According to the same source, she “lacks the qualifications to actually do the job.”
To add some credibility to this wild story, Mediaite reportedly found that the domain www.kennedyshanahan.com was registered on March 13th and the donation page is live and accepting donations. So, it seems like things are pretty serious.
And let’s not forget about our dear friend Aaron Rodgers. The New York Jets fans were breaking out in cold sweats at the thought of losing their future Hall of Fame quarterback to politics. But it looks like they can finally sleep easy, knowing that Rodgers is sticking to what he does best – throwing footballs, not political punches.
So, there you have it, folks. RFK Jr. and Shanahan are expected to make their presidential campaign official soon. This election is going to be one for the books. Remember folks, this is politics. Anything can happen. And usually does.
