Police Take Down Predator After Assaulting 13-Year-Old

Earlier this month, a 54-year-old Texas man was fatally shot by police after admitting to investigators that he had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl. The man had picked up the girl after school and taken her back to his home in Galena Park, where he proceeded to commit the crime.

The incident began when police received a call about an attempted abduction of the young girl. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the suspect had already fled in his car. A chase ensued, during which the suspect crashed into another vehicle and then attempted to flee on foot. He was eventually caught and fatally shot by two Hitchcock Police Department officers who were attempting to serve him a warrant.

Fox 26 Houston reported,

He reportedly pulled out a gun shortly after the chase ended in the 8400 block of Mosley Rd. and said, “I’m not going back” before he was shot by two Hitchcock PD officers.

This after allegations were made on February 16, where he met a 13-year-old on social media and court records said he began “an online relationship with her.”

During an interview with detectives, court documents said the 54-year-old admitted to meeting the child near her school, picking her up, and taking her to a hotel in Hitchcock.

Shortly after Alejandro was shot, officials rushed him to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

This case serves as a reminder of why it is so important for parents and guardians to be aware of their children’s whereabouts at all times and take steps to ensure their safety when they are away from home or school. It is also essential for law enforcement agencies across the country to continue working together with local communities in order to identify potential threats before they become serious incidents like this one.

No matter what measures are taken, it is impossible to completely eliminate such acts of violence against innocent victims like this 13-year-old girl who was targeted by a predator seeking out vulnerable victims for his own gratification. However, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to protect our children from harm and ensure that justice is served whenever possible so that those responsible for such heinous crimes can be brought to justice swiftly and appropriately punished according their actions.
