Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the impeachment of former President Donald Trump, is now facing accusations of trying to profit off the Ukraine war with defense contracts. This news comes as no surprise to those who have been following Vindman’s actions since his testimony against Trump.
Vindman was accused of lying about President Trump during the impeachment trial and has since faced backlash from Trump supporters. However, Vindman’s recent actions have only added fuel to the fire.
According to reports, Vindman has been working with a Ukrainian company that is seeking defense contracts from the United States government. This company allegedly has ties to corrupt Ukrainian officials and has been accused of engaging in illegal activities.
Vindman’s involvement with this company raises serious questions about his motives and integrity. It appears that he is willing to put his own financial gain above the safety and security of our country.
I think that he deserves the consequences that he’s going to get for this, and worse, to be honest. He was given an opportunity to serve our country honorably but instead chose to use his position for personal gain, not to mention the lies he told about Trump.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), a strong critic of Vindman during the impeachment hearings, didn’t hold back in excoriating Vindman for his Ukrainian dealings:
“When conservatives speak the truth, the mainstream media panics and desperately attempts to provide cover for the left. They did this for Alexander Vindman, just like they did for Hunter Biden, Dr. Fauci and teachers unions,” Blackburn said, referencing liberal media outlets’ staunch defense of Vindman throughout his time as a witness during the impeachment investigation.
“Alexander Vindman has always been a political activist and opportunist masquerading behind his career. He saw an opening for personal fame and profited by exploiting the media’s outrage against President Trump,” she accused.
“Vindman has spent the last three years on MSNBC and CNN attacking Republicans. Now, new revelations suggest Vindman could be profiting off the war in Ukraine, just as he did by speaking out against the Trump administration,” Blackburn added.
