Dr. Jill Biden is under fire from within her own ideological backyard — and this time, it’s not conservative media doing the torching.
Washington Post veteran columnist and well-connected D.C. socialite Sally Quinn didn’t mince words when she appeared on the “Tara Palmeri Show” this week, blasting the former first lady for what she called nothing short of elder abuse for pushing Joe Biden into a second presidential run despite clear signs of his physical and mental decline.
“I blame Jill Biden for this,” Quinn said flatly. “If Jill Biden had stood up and gone to him and said, ‘Joe, you can’t do it,’ he wouldn’t have run. She clearly was in favor of his running and I just think it was a terrible disservice to the country.”
Quinn, who’s as plugged into the D.C. establishment as anyone, claimed that Democrats behind closed doors were “horrified” by Jill Biden’s enabling behavior. And after Biden’s infamous debate performance — now widely considered one of the worst in presidential history — Quinn says the first lady only doubled down.
“She wasn’t protecting him,” Quinn said. “I thought it was elder abuse, really.”

Keep in mind, this isn’t coming from a Fox News panel or a MAGA firebrand — this is coming from a liberal institution insider who once shared dinner tables with presidents and power players. And she’s far from alone. Quinn revealed that virtually everyone in D.C. elite circles knew Biden’s health was rapidly failing and that he was in no shape to lead.
“Everybody thought he shouldn’t run,” Quinn added. “People were just distraught… and terrible for the party.”
Perhaps the most heartbreaking comparison came when Quinn likened Biden’s increasingly disoriented public appearances to her late husband, Watergate journalist Ben Bradlee, during his battle with dementia. “It looks like the beginning of dementia to me,” she said bluntly.
As if that wasn’t enough, Quinn also raised eyebrows over the administration’s handling of Biden’s cancer diagnosis — a slow-growing prostate malignancy that, according to reports, went undetected for years. Or did it?
“It’s hard for me to believe that they didn’t know about it and were waiting to reveal it until it got too aggressive,” Quinn said.
The administration insists Biden’s last prostate screening was in 2014. That’s a decade ago. For a man pushing 82, that’s borderline medical malpractice — especially for someone sitting in the most powerful office on Earth.
Between Jake Tapper’s tell-all Original Sin, which details Biden’s aides contemplating a wheelchair-bound second term, and now this blistering rebuke from a longtime liberal voice like Quinn, the Democrat narrative is collapsing faster than Biden’s approval rating.
And Jill Biden? She may be the one left holding the bag.
