Well, what do we have here? If it isn’t the Jan. 6 committee playing hide and seek with the truth. In a shocking revelation, it has come to light that the committee allegedly suppressed testimony showing that the Trump administration pushed for National Guard presence before the Capitol riot. Now doesn’t that just flip the narrative on its head?
According to Fox News, Kash Patel, former Pentagon chief of staff under Trump, testified that he had requested 10,000 National Guard troops to be on standby ahead of the Jan. 6 protest. But lo and behold, his testimony didn’t make it into the committee’s interim report. I mean, why would they include something as trivial as the truth, right?
Patel even shared his frustration with Sean Hannity on Fox News. He said, “I testified for four hours and they used two lines from my testimony, and they left out the most critical part, which was that President Trump and the Secretary of Defense offered up to 10,000 National Guard troops two days before January 6.”
Now, here’s where it gets really interesting. The night before the rally, according to Patel, then-Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller issued a memo authorizing up to 10,000 National Guard troops. Patel also revealed that the offer was rejected not once, not twice, but three times by Capitol Police and the Sergeant at Arms.

So, let me get this straight. The Trump administration tried to beef up security, their offer got declined, and now they’re being blamed for the riots? That’s like blaming a fireman for a fire because he showed up to put it out!
But hey, who needs facts when you can spin a good yarn, right? It seems like the Jan. 6 committee is more interested in weaving a narrative than uncovering the truth. And unfortunately, it’s the American people who are left in the dark.
At a time when we need transparency and honesty, it’s disheartening to see the committee play fast and loose with the truth. It’s high time they put politics aside and focused on presenting the complete story, not just the chapters that suit their narrative. After all, the American people deserve nothing less.
