BREAKING: U.S. Senator Charged with Acting As ‘Foreign Agent’

In an explosive revelation, one particular Democrat has found himself in the eye of a massive political storm. The Associated Press reports that U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) , who has served since 2006, is facing indictment for acting as a ‘foreign agent’. This shocking news marks a historical moment as Menendez becomes the first sitting senator to be indicted on two unrelated criminal charges.

The charges against Menendez and his wife, Nadine Menendez, are severe and damning. Allegedly, they accepted bribes from three New Jersey businessmen in exchange for the senator’s influence in various business deals, assistance to the Egyptian government, and obstruction of law enforcement investigations related to the businessmen. The couple allegedly accepted cash, gold, mortgage payments, a luxury vehicle, and other high-value items. A subsequent search of the senator’s residence revealed a staggering $100,000 in gold and an additional $480,000 in concealed cash.

As the news broke, the Democratic Party was sent into a tailspin. Already gearing up for forthcoming elections with a slim majority in the Senate, Menendez’s indictment poses a significant challenge. Notably, Menendez previously held the influential position of chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee before stepping down in the wake of these charges.

Fellow Democrats reacted strongly to the news. Prominent figures, including New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and junior senator Cory Booker, have publicly urged Menendez to resign. However, Menendez remains defiant, stating, “I’m not going anywhere.” He added, “Those who believe in justice believe in innocence until proven guilty. I intend to continue to fight for the people of New Jersey.”

This isn’t Menendez’s first encounter with the law. In 2017, he narrowly escaped a federal conviction when a jury deadlocked on bribery and corruption charges, leading to a mistrial. He was also under scrutiny for corruption by then-New Jersey Attorney General Chris Christie in 2006.

The indictment marks a significant moment in U.S. political history. While other political figures and lobbyists have faced scrutiny or legal consequences related to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), no sitting U.S. senator had ever been formally charged with acting as a “foreign agent” until now.

This scandal is yet another blow to the Democratic Party, already grappling with discontent among voters over rising inflation and the mishandling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. As the Democrats struggle to maintain their slim Senate majority, Menendez’s indictment could be a game-changer in the upcoming elections.

But not Hunter Biden.

Mike, great work. I applaud your efforts enormously because I presently make more than $36,000 each month from just one straightforward online company! You may begin creating a steady online income with as little as $29,000, and these are only the most basic internet operations jobs.

The Corrupt Runs Deep in the Democrats Party and Joe Biden Administration do I say Down with the Democrats Party Now Period

VNVet.

Sorrry, to inform you, but the Corruption runs very, very, very deep in both parties and every politician in Washington is just as corrupt as the next one to them (this includes both parties) the problem is that some politicians just get more greed than others and get caught. So in the end it makes no difference what party these people are in, it is just another excuse for one party to make a big thing out of it until a member of their own party gets caught. Just my opinions.

Corruption is systemic to a process that creates more millionaires of little or no talent other than lying about who they are and what they’re doing. Politics! They create more millionaires per capita than Wall Street.

There are several Democrats in Congress who continue to escape removal for various crimes with funds. The Biden DOJ double standard at work.

Yep, and just how many Republicans have been caught doing NO,NO’s over the last 75 years? I really like it when these types of things come up. I am in my 90’s and nothing has ever changed in Washington as far back as the 40’s. When the Democrats are in office itis the Republicans that keep saying look at all of those dirty things that the Democrats are doing. Just elect me and tomorrow morning things will change for the betterment of the US citizens. So when the Republicans are in office. it is the Democrat’s time to say and offer the same things. The only difference I can see or remember is, that today there is “: MORE” in-house and in-party and in-base fighting than there was 50 years ago. And it sure as heck does not seem to be getting any better, only getting worse as each day goes by. I can only imagine how bad things are going to get between the parties and inside each party between now and the November election. And IMHO, I believe we all owe it to Donnie and the very fine job that he is doing for everyone involved. YEP, just leave it up to Donnie, keep up the good work Donnie Have a nice day..

Stan

And Democrats are still circling the wagon protecting him. Unlike feckless Republican who couldn’t wait to expel one of heir own before he was even charged with anything. Speaking of suicidal party?

We need term limits. When a group serves together for more than five or six years they become too friendly and tend to look away whether on the right or the left side.

Ron C

I have to ask why are they picking on Bob? All the democrats and RINO’s are breaking the written laws, so why Bob, that is what I would be asking!

Gunny Gil

Well looks like another New Jersey man has been caught in criminal acivity. Only this one is not mobster but a US Senator found acting illegally as a FOREIGN AGENT. And of course he is a Demonacrat Senator with decades of elected duty in El Districto De Criminales

tedscott4

I believe that is the crime they are going after but he was in bed with an Edgewater (NJ) contractor, who basically controlled the Hudson Riverside and all the new buildings going up.

VNVet.

Who was on top and who was on the bottom in that deal???

VNVet.

He got caught being too greedy and with his hand in the cookie jar. who is next? a democrat or a Rep.? OH , well I guess only time will tell you that answer. Sure seems strange how/why so many of these politicians being caught are from NY, NJ, etc. Area, don’t they pay their politicians enough $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ???

Grace

Who is next? Eric Slalwell, Nancy’s prat boy. Living high on his campaign finances. He is also in deep with Hunter.

john

If the truth were known, there are more similar to Menendez.

VNVet.

How about 99.9999999% more than just Menendez????

Tom R.

Now next charge and arrest eric sewell.

VNVet.

I believe it will be more like who steps on whose toes, gets greedy, and gets caught.. Just my opinions.

Still think mandatory audits of income and outgo for all members of congress should be conducted and published annually. Financial privacy should be forfeit when accepting a public salary. Just to keep things honest.

APPLY TO ALL THE BIDENS

Donald Nicholas

Menendez was a Senator, that’s what they do, but only so long as they sit silent on what’s actually going on. How can they NOT charge the Biden crime family with acting as a foreign agent for any country with a checkbook?

CPOBill

No surprise! After all he is a democrap!

Snake Bliskin

No doubt Menendez will blame his being “falsely accused” due to racism.
