Texas is once again leading the charge in the fight to restore common sense, faith, and real values in American schools. And naturally, the left is losing its collective mind over it. Lawmakers in the Lone Star State are on the verge of securing a huge win in the culture war by passing Senate Bill 10, which would require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. Over five million students across Texas could soon be looking at a daily reminder of things like “Thou shalt not kill” and “Honor thy father and mother”—you know, basic moral guidelines that have apparently become controversial in 2025.
The bill has cleared both the Texas Senate and House, and it’s now sitting on Governor Greg Abbott’s desk, waiting for his signature. Given Abbott’s track record and support for traditional American values, it’s safe to say he’ll sign it, much to the horror of the ACLU and the professional outrage machine on the left.
The law would require each classroom to display the Ten Commandments in a poster or framed format, at least 16 inches wide by 20 inches tall. Pretty simple. But leave it to groups like the ACLU to act like this is some Orwellian nightmare. They’re already threatening lawsuits, calling the bill “blatantly unconstitutional” and promising to work with liberal parents to block it in court. Funny how free speech only applies to drag shows for kids, DEI nonsense, and woke ideology, but God forbid (literally) anyone mentions biblical values.
Let’s be real: The same people screaming about “separation of church and state” have no issue with the church of Critical Race Theory, gender ideology, and p***ographic books being shoved into classrooms. But post a simple set of rules about respecting your parents, not lying, and not stealing, and suddenly it’s a constitutional crisis.
Meanwhile, Texas classrooms are falling apart academically. The Texas Public Policy Foundation exposed how only 19 percent of the curriculum is at grade level and only 30 percent of students can even read at grade level. But sure, let’s pretend the real threat to education is the Ten Commandments, not teachers bragging about “indoctrinating” kids with woke garbage.
It’s high time students learned principles like accountability, respect, and right from wrong. The Ten Commandments aren’t just religious; they’re common sense. Maybe that’s why the left hates them so much. They fear anything that challenges their false idols of division, victimhood, and moral decay. Texas is saying enough is enough. Let’s hope more states follow their lead.
