Well, well, well, talk about a New Year’s surprise! It seems like liberal mega-donor George Soros had quite an interesting holiday break. Instead of the usual carolers at his door, he had a SWAT team. Yes, you heard that right. The Western Journal reports that Soros’s New York mansion was the target of a ‘swatting’ prank – an untraceable call alleging an active shooter crisis. Now, isn’t that something?
According to the report, the caller dialed 911 on Saturday around 9:00 p.m., claiming to have unalived his wife and threatening to do the same to himself next. Southampton Police Detective Herman Lamison told the New York Post that police rushed to the residence, only to find out that the crisis was manufactured. “Spoke to security, searched the premises. It was [a] negative problem,” one officer was recorded saying. I mean, talk about crying wolf!
But it seems Soros wasn’t the only one who got a surprise visit from the police over the holidays. GOP lawmakers known for their anti-Hamas positions also found themselves at the receiving end of these ‘swatting’ pranks. For instance, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted that police responded to her home on Christmas day following another false alarm. “I was just swatted. This is like the 8th time. On Christmas with my family here,” she wrote. Now, that’s not the kind of Christmas surprise anyone wants.
And let’s not forget about Rep. Brandon Williams (R-NY) who also reported a swatting incident on Christmas Day. In good spirits, he sent the first responders home with bags of holiday cookies. U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) too had his dinner interrupted by a swatting prank, which he described as a ‘sick attempt to terrorize my family.’
Now, isn’t it strange how these ‘swatting’ pranks are coinciding with mounting political tensions over Israel’s war against Hamas? It seems like left-wing agitators are taking their harassment to a whole new level. But, as the FBI has urged, Americans need to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity. After all, it’s not just about the prank itself, but the valuable time and resources of our law enforcement that are being wasted.
