In the latest episode of “Democrats Gone Wild,” Pennsylvania State Rep. Kevin Boyle finds himself in hotter water than a lobster at a New England boil. The Daily Caller reports that the Keystone State’s very own Democratic lawmaker has had an arrest warrant issued against him for allegedly violating a restraining order against his ex-wife not once, but twice. Now, if that doesn’t scream “family values” to you, I don’t know what will.
Kevin Boyle, who’s been playing representative since 2011 and covers the scenic vistas of Montgomery County and Northeast Philadelphia, seems to have taken a wrong turn somewhere down Political Avenue. CBS News was first on the scene, reporting on Boyle’s outstanding warrant, while the rep’s office played the world’s saddest violin, refusing to comment.
Now, here’s where it gets as spicy…two years back, Boyle penned an open letter faster than you can say “PR cleanup,” claiming a stint in a mental health facility was his saving grace. But just like New Year’s resolutions, that stability didn’t last. Boyle was caught on video in what can only be described as a tirade at Gaul & Co. Malt House, where he seemed to believe he was auditioning for a role in a political drama, threatening to end the bar. Yes, because when I think of threats to my livelihood, I immediately think of state representatives gone rogue.

The video, which should be up for an award at the next viral video festival, captures Boyle in all his glory, slurring his way through threats and accusations, including calling the bartenders military agents. I mean, come on, people, if that’s not entertainment, I don’t know what is.
The Pennsylvania House Democrats, in a plot twist no one saw coming, are as divided as a Thanksgiving dinner discussion on politics. With Boyle up for reelection, they’ve thrown their weight behind Sean Dougherty, raising funds faster than you can say “damage control.”
House Majority Leader Matt Bradford, in a statement that tugs at the heartstrings, expressed his broken heart over Boyle’s situation, emphasizing the importance of mental health access. True, but let’s also emphasize the importance of not threatening bars or violating restraining orders, shall we?
