Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has once again found herself in the middle of a Twitter firestorm. AOC is on the receiving end of some serious online mockery after she blew up at pro-Palestinian activists. Oh, how the tables have turned!
The video that went viral shows AOC walking with her spouse when a masked man confronts her, saying, “You refuse to call it a genocide —”. The usually composed AOC turns around and gets all up in the man’s grill, declaring: “I need you to understand that this is not okay.” She then storms off down the escalators, but not before yelling back, “You’re lying!” as the man continues to question her stance.
This little episode didn’t end there. Another woman had the audacity to question AOC over the issue, and AOC responded by losing her cool again. It was only after a while that the man she was with decided to step in and protect her from the activists.
But the cherry on top of this sweet pie was AOC’s final outburst at the activists: “You’re gonna cut this and you’re gonna clip this so that it’s completely out of context,” she raged. “It’s f***ed up man! You’re not helping these people!”

Now, this would just be another day in the life of a politician, except for one tiny detail: AOC has been known to encourage activists to make people uncomfortable. In a 2020 tweet, she wrote, “The whole point of protesting is to make ppl uncomfortable,” and “Activists take that discomfort w/ the status quo & advocate for concrete policy changes.” Well, I guess it’s not so fun when you’re the one being made uncomfortable, eh, AOC?
The internet was quick to call out AOC’s hypocrisy. Matt Whitlock, AG Hamilton, Joe Concha, Stephen L. Miller, Rob Schmitt, Joe Gabriel Simonson, Noah Pollak, and Pradheep J. Shanker were among those who took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with comments ranging from “AOC can’t handle someone demagoguing her in exactly the same way she demagogues everyone else every single day” to “Well, these are the rules you want to live by. Enjoy, @AOC.”
AOC has spent years encouraging young liberals to get in lawmakers faces and demand absurd things. https://t.co/XgYwogcRqm pic.twitter.com/gLRxXYtwEm

AOC supports the same activists harassing other people with their delusional and abusive behavior so can't say I am too bothered by her getting a taste of the same medicine. https://t.co/pAgaKR1DUF

ROFL. I have zero sympathy. She has supported this kind of nonsense when the shoe is on the other foot.
Well, these are the rules you want to live by. Enjoy, @AOC. https://t.co/CDEHTjaGDs

It seems like AOC got a taste of her own medicine, and she didn’t quite like the flavor. Maybe next time she’ll think twice before endorsing tactics that she herself can’t handle.
