Former CNN host Chris Cuomo made some startling revelations during a recent podcast with Anthony Scaramucci, claiming that he was so angry over being fired from the network that he had thought about “killing everybody, including himself”.
Cuomo said, “I had to accept [my firing] because I was going to kill everybody, including myself. Things can consume you.” The firing came after allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Cuomo’s brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo opened up to Scaramucci about how the incident had left him feeling psychologically scarred, and how he was forced to seek professional help.
He also spoke about his current show on NewsNation, lamenting that it fails in comparison to his earlier show on CNN, noting that he will “never be [No. 1] again”. His disappointment is palpable as he shares his distress at the fact that people are not watching the show and how it is “kind of embarrassing” for him.
The former CNN host has officially filed a lawsuit against the network for $60 million in damages, claiming that his firing was wrongful and unjustified.
However, this represents little comfort to him as CNN President Chris Licht has stated publicly that they would not rehire him under any circumstances.
As a result of this experience, Cuomo has found himself dealing with damage both inside and outside himself, enduring mental trauma while simultaneously struggling with the embarrassment of having lost viewership.
What’s more is that despite his feelings of betrayal and anger towards CNN, he insists he will not discuss it further in public forums, preferring instead to litigate the matter through legal channels.
This just goes to show how unstable these liberals truly are. His identity was so built up in being the guy on CNN that once he no longer had that, he felt like he had nothing. I feel bad for the guy, but he did it to himself.
