Far-Left Lawmaker Threatens Trump Officials With ‘Kidnapping’ Arrests

It’s always a wild ride when Jamie Raskin gets in front of a camera, and his latest performance on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” didn’t disappoint — if you’re into complete detachment from reality, that is. Raskin, a proud member of the far-left wing of the Democrat Party, has now floated the idea that Trump Administration officials could be arrested for what he calls “interfering with a legal proceeding.” He even threw around the word “kidnapping” — because deporting illegal gang members apparently now qualifies as an international hostage crisis in the fever dreams of the Democratic Party.

Let’s unpack this nonsense. The Democrats, who once at least pretended to care about American citizens, are now bending over backward to defend Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a Salvadoran national who was deported because of his alleged MS-13 ties and human trafficking activity. You know, the kind of person most Americans don’t want living next door. An immigration judge ordered his removal, but Raskin and the rest of the open-borders crowd have decided he’s some sort of folk hero.

On Maddow’s show, Raskin ranted about the Trump Administration supposedly defying court orders and accused them of unleashing “chaos” across the country. Oh, and he laughably tried to claim that Judge James Boasberg — an Obama appointee — is a “conservative Republican.” Right, Jamie. Next you’ll tell us that Bernie Sanders is a free-market capitalist.

Here’s what they don’t want you to know: legal scholars like Alan Dershowitz have already shredded Boasberg’s actions, pointing out that the order he’s trying to enforce was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. But facts don’t matter when you’re trying to score points on MSNBC, do they?

Raskin’s latest scare tactic — threatening criminal charges and even tossing around the word “kidnapping” — is part of the Democrats’ favorite new strategy: lawfare. Can’t beat Trump at the ballot box? Indict his allies, threaten his administration officials, and twist the law into a weapon. That’s their playbook now, plain and simple.

And let’s be real here: deporting dangerous criminals back to their home countries isn’t kidnapping. It’s called doing your job. It’s called protecting American citizens. Something that used to be bipartisan common sense before the Democrats decided MS-13 members deserved more compassion than the people paying taxes and raising families here legally.

Jamie Raskin can bluster all he wants, but most Americans aren’t buying this clown show. We know the difference between upholding the law and inventing crimes to kneecap your political enemies. Raskin might want to brush up on that before his next unhinged cable news meltdown.
