Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland has once again reminded Americans exactly why the Left should never be trusted with unchecked power. Appearing on the Pod Save America podcast—a favorite of coastal liberals and former Obama staffers—Raskin promised political retaliation against anyone who “facilitated” the return of President Trump to the White House, calling it an “assault on our Constitution.”
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just political posturing. It’s a threat.
“If and when we come back to power, and we will, we are not going to look kindly upon people who facilitated authoritarianism in our country,” Raskin warned ominously. Never mind the fact that Trump was democratically elected by the American people. In Raskin’s warped worldview, voting for someone he disagrees with is now equivalent to unleashing fascism.
🚨Radical leftist Jamie Raskin says his political opposition will face repercussions for unleashing “fascist chaos” should Dems regain power:

This is the same Jamie Raskin who has spent the last several months demanding the return of deported gang members, including individuals tied to violent organizations like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, because he believes their removal violated “due process.” Yes, that’s where Democrats are now: defending foreign criminals while threatening American citizens who vote Republican.
Raskin, notably the son of communist academic Marcus Raskin, has always viewed politics through an ideological lens of permanent revolution. His recent comments reflect that heritage. He’s not talking about policy differences—he’s talking about vengeance, political purges, and a left-wing inquisition against those who don’t bend the knee.
He went even further, condemning Republicans for criticizing activist judges who are trying to tie President Trump’s hands at every turn. “This is the Judiciary Committee of the United States, and we should act like it,” Raskin scolded, as if any scrutiny of the bench is now off-limits.
Apparently, the Constitution only matters to Raskin when it can be twisted to protect illegal immigrants and activist judges. When it comes to the First Amendment, the Electoral College, the separation of powers, or the will of voters—well, those can be tossed aside in the name of “democracy.”
The message is loud and clear: if Democrats return to power, they don’t just want to govern—they want retribution.
Raskin and his allies aren’t saving democracy. They’re threatening it. And the American people would do well to remember that the next time they head to the ballot box.
