Joy Reid CANCELED? MSNBC President Rushes to Emergency Meeting as News Leaks!

It looks like Joy Reid, is finally getting the boot. The ReidOut is out, and the meltdown behind the scenes is glorious.

Apparently, MSNBC’s new president, Rebecca Kutler, had to scramble to hold a last-minute virtual meeting after news of the show’s cancellation leaked. And in the most MSNBC way possible, an audio recording of that meeting was—you guessed it—leaked to the media. You can’t make this stuff up.

Former CNN reporter Oliver Darcy, who somehow still has a job in journalism, got his hands on the recording and reported that Reid’s staff was absolutely livid that they had to find out about their show’s cancellation from the press instead of MSNBC leadership. Imagine being so delusional that you think MSNBC—the network that thrives on deception and misinformation—would actually be honest with its own employees.

Kutler confirmed during the call that everyone on The ReidOut staff had been laid off (ouch) but, hey, they’d get severance through April. She even encouraged them to apply for other jobs within the company. That’s corporate-speak for “Yeah, you’re done, but feel free to waste your time filling out an application for a job we have no intention of giving you.” Classic.

But let’s get to the real reason why this is happening. MSNBC is bleeding credibility (as if they had any to begin with), and The ReidOut was probably one of the most embarrassing shows on the network. Joy Reid spent years pushing hoaxes, race-baiting, and making outright ridiculous claims. Remember when she suggested Florida’s hurricane warnings were racist? Or when she called Trump supporters “the Taliban”? Yeah, real hard-hitting journalism there.

Of course, MSNBC insists that “Donald Trump was not a factor” in the show’s cancellation. Uh-huh. Right. It’s just a total coincidence that as Trump surges in the polls and MSNBC desperately tries to salvage what little credibility it has left, one of its most unhinged, openly partisan hosts suddenly gets the axe. Sure, we totally believe you.

The best part of all this? The meltdown. MSNBC staffers shaken, outraged, and feeling uncertain about their futures. Maybe now they’ll understand what it’s like to be a working-class American under Biden’s economy.

So long, The ReidOut. Won’t be missed. Maybe Joy Reid can start a podcast—just what the world doesn’t need.
