Obama-Appointed Judge Oversteps Bounds, Defies President Trump in Outrageous Power Grab

Here we go again—another Biden-era bureaucrat clinging to his government job like it’s the last life raft on the Titanic. Hampton Dellinger, the now-former Special Counsel of the Office of Special Counsel (try saying that three times fast), got his pink slip courtesy of President Trump’s ongoing effort to clean house. But instead of packing up his desk like a normal person, Dellinger decided to run crying to the courts. And—surprise, surprise—a corrupt Obama-appointed judge came to the rescue.

President Trump didn’t mince words when he fired Dellinger. A simple, straightforward letter from Sergio Gor, Director of the White House Presidential Office, politely informed him that his services were no longer needed. But in the world of Democrat bureaucrats, being held accountable—or, heaven forbid, fired—is basically treated like a violation of human rights. So Dellinger filed a lawsuit faster than Hunter Biden can misplace a laptop.

Enter Judge Amy Berman Jackson, the queen of partisan rulings from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because she’s made a career out of ruling against conservatives whenever the opportunity arises. Unsurprisingly, Jackson issued an administrative stay, effectively telling President Trump, “No, you can’t fire this guy.” According to Politico, Jackson’s ruling means Trump must allow Dellinger to continue accessing agency resources and can’t appoint anyone else to the role while the stay is in effect.

In other words, unelected judges are now deciding who the President of the United States can and cannot fire within his own administration. So much for the executive branch having, you know, executive authority.

Of course, Dellinger released a smug statement saying he’s “grateful” to keep his job and was “resuming work” immediately. Well, congrats, Hampton. Nothing screams professionalism like suing your boss to avoid being shown the door.

The Trump Justice Department isn’t taking this nonsense lying down—they’ve already filed an appeal. But this isn’t an isolated case. Over the weekend, another Obama judge, Paul Engelmayer, issued a temporary restraining order blocking Trump appointees from accessing Treasury Department data. Apparently, activist judges are now the de facto HR department for the federal government.

This is what happens when the judicial branch gets drunk on power. Democrats love to screech about “threats to democracy,” but what do you call it when partisan judges override the duly elected President’s authority? Spoiler alert: it’s not democracy.
