AOC Gives Unhinged Rant on Eve of Trump Inauguration

Looks like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is at it again, turning up the drama to full volume as President Trump is sworn into office once again. In a series of social media posts that can only be described as theatrical, the congresswoman from New York went on a tear, branding Trump’s incoming administration as “authoritarian” and making a handful of wild predictions about what’s to come. Because, you know, nothing says “democracy” like trying to delegitimize a duly elected president before he’s even taken the oath of office.

AOC, along with 19 other House Democrats, proudly announced she would be skipping the inauguration on Monday (nobody missed her). They’re calling it a “boycott,” but let’s be honest—it’s the same tired stunt they pulled in 2017. At least this time, fewer Democrats are bothering with the political theater. Even the so-called resistance seems to have run out of steam, with only three more members still “undecided” about whether they’ll attend.

In an Instagram rant dripping with melodrama, AOC sighed her way through the claim that America is on the verge of “21st-century fascism.” She even compared Trump’s leadership to Hungary, a democratic nation led by conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. According to AOC, that’s a sign of impending doom because, apparently, letting voters elect conservative leaders is now considered a red flag by the far-left. “You can look to see how Viktor Orbán runs Hungary to get a taste of how they will try to govern,” she warned. Right. Because tax cuts and border security are so terrifying.

Of course, AOC didn’t stop at political fearmongering. She took a moment to plug BlueSky, the left’s latest attempt to recreate Twitter—complete with the same old censorship tactics they loved under Jack Dorsey. She urged her followers to “own their audiences” there, conveniently ignoring the platform’s not-so-secret goal of silencing dissenting voices.

But the real headline-grabber was AOC’s baseless attack on Trump, falsely labeling him a “r–ist” while dramatically zooming her phone camera in and out. “Let me make myself clear. I don’t celebrate r–ists,” she declared, conveniently ignoring the fact that Trump has never been convicted of any such crime. In reality, the case she’s referencing was a civil lawsuit under a questionable New York law that allowed dubious claims without evidence.

If AOC’s goal was to stay in the spotlight, mission accomplished. But for Americans watching, her antics are just another example of why the Democrats are struggling—they’re more focused on political tantrums than actually addressing the issues that matter.
