Pam Bondi delivered a masterclass in composure and confidence during her confirmation hearing for U.S. Attorney General, leaving Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) thoroughly embarrassed in the process. Democrats came prepared to throw baseless accusations and condescending questions, but Bondi wasn’t having any of it. One by one, she dismantled their weak arguments, and Hirono’s attempt to corner her turned into one of the most humiliating moments of the hearing.
Hirono, clearly unprepared, tried to score cheap political points by asking if Bondi would weaponize the Department of Justice on behalf of President Trump. “If he (Trump) asks you to investigate one of his perceived political enemies, would you do so?” she demanded, as if Bondi hadn’t already addressed this nonsense. Bondi calmly hit back, pointing out Hirono’s own laziness in preparing for the hearing. “Senator Hirono, I wish you had met with me. Had you met with me, we could have discussed these things.” Boom. Hirono, the only senator who refused to meet with Bondi ahead of the hearing, had no comeback. Bondi reminded her—and everyone watching—that the role of the Attorney General is to follow the law, not to play political games like the Democrats have done for the past four years.
Hirono wasn’t done embarrassing herself. She pivoted to immigration, parroting media outrage over Trump’s comments on illegal immigration. “He has also said illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. Do you agree?” Hirono sneered. Bondi, unfazed, fired back with a dose of reality: “I went to the border a few months ago. I went to Yuma, AZ. I went to a rpe crisis center. It was horrific. I’m sure you’ve been to the border as well, so you can answer that.” Predictably, Hirono had nothing to say and quickly moved on.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for Hirono, she stooped even lower by asking Bondi if she had ever made “unwanted requests for s**ual favors.” Seriously? That’s the level of discourse Democrats have sunk to—throwing out disgusting and baseless accusations with zero evidence. Bondi calmly and truthfully answered no, exposing the question for what it was: a pathetic attempt to smear her character. Hirono would’ve known better if she had bothered to meet with Bondi beforehand.
🚨 HOLY SH*T. Pam Bondi just destroyed Senator Mazie Hirono for refusing to meet with her.
HIRONO: Would you investigate Trump's political enemies?
BONDI: I wish you had met with me. If you did, we could have discussed these things. No, we will follow the law.
HIRONO: Can you… pic.twitter.com/8pbf6hJRmm

Pam Bondi’s performance was exactly what Americans want in an Attorney General—strong, principled, and unwilling to be bullied by the Left. If this hearing showed anything, it’s that Bondi is more than ready to restore integrity to the Department of Justice.
