President Trump Announces Alina Habba’s New Role in White House

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday evening that Alina Habba will join his White House team as counselor to the president. The announcement, made via a post on Truth Social, highlights Habba’s steadfast loyalty and her extensive experience battling the legal challenges that have defined Trump’s recent years.

“Alina has been a tireless advocate for Justice, a fierce Defender of the Rule of Law, and an invaluable Advisor to my Campaign and Transition Team,” Trump wrote. “She has been unwavering in her loyalty, and unmatched in her resolve – standing with me through numerous ‘trials,’ battles, and countless days in Court.” Trump added that few people understand the “Weaponization of the ‘Injustice’ System” better than Habba, praising her courage and commitment to justice. He also described her as a “role model for women in Law and Politics.”

Habba, a New Jersey-based attorney, joined Trump’s legal team in 2021 and has since been at the forefront of several high-profile cases. Notably, she represented Trump in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit, which accused Trump of undervaluing his Mar-a-Lago estate. James claimed the Palm Beach property was worth a mere $17 million, a figure that defied logic given that surrounding, smaller properties are valued at over $40 million. Despite a Manhattan judge ruling against Trump, the verdict is currently being appealed.

Habba has also defended Trump in other legal battles, including a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. Throughout these legal skirmishes, Habba has been a vocal and passionate advocate for Trump, often calling out what she and many conservatives see as politically motivated “lawfare” aimed at undermining the former president.

Reacting to her new role, Habba wrote on X, “Honor of my life to serve the 45th and 47th President and the American people.”

Her speech at the Republican National Convention in July showcased her dedication to Trump’s vision. “Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people,” she said. “The left has tried to demolish President Trump, but there is no bulldozer big enough or strong enough to remove the legacy that he has built or the future he is creating.”

With her new role as counselor to the president, Habba is expected to play a key part in shaping Trump’s administration as he returns to the White House. Her appointment sends a clear message: Trump intends to surround himself with trusted allies ready to fight back against any attempts to undermine his presidency.
