Republicans Are Ditching Mitch McConnell

In a jaw-dropping political development, an overwhelming 73% of likely voters are demanding that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) step down from his leadership role. This unprecedented call for resignation comes in the wake of McConnell’s recent mental freezes during press interactions, which have sparked widespread concern and speculation about his fitness for the job.

The survey, conducted by Rasmussen Reports and shared with Washington Secrets, reveals a remarkable bipartisan consensus. Surprisingly, 74% of Republicans want McConnell to relinquish his leadership post, and 73% of Democrats are in agreement. This united front is a rare occurrence in our deeply divided political landscape.

Despite this outcry, McConnell has defiantly brushed aside calls for his resignation or retirement. He has recently suffered two instances of non-speaking dazes while addressing the media. Although some observers suggested it appeared like a stroke, a congressional doctor cleared McConnell last week, attributing the episode to dehydration.

However, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a practicing doctor for 25 years, wasn’t convinced by the diagnosis. He stated, “To me, it looks like a focal neurologic event. That doesn’t mean it’s incapacitating, doesn’t mean you can’t serve, but it means that somebody ought to wake up and say, ‘Wow, this looks like a seizure.'”

Democrats wanting McConnell to step down is not surprising. During the Trump era, McConnell masterminded the confirmation of dozens of conservative judges, including three Supreme Court justices. But the high percentage of Republicans calling for his departure may be startling to those who haven’t noticed the lingering resentment MAGA Republicans harbor against McConnell for blaming former President Donald Trump for the Capitol riots.

The Rasmussen survey also revealed most voters hold an unfavorable view of McConnell, with a staggering 60% disapproval rating against a paltry 31% approval.

This is an earth-shattering revelation that could send shockwaves through the Republican party. The fact that such a significant percentage of likely voters from both sides of the aisle are calling for McConnell’s resignation is a damning indictment of his leadership. As the GOP grapples with its future direction, it’s clear that many Americans believe it’s time for new leadership to take the helm.

It’s pretty clear the fight is gone out of McConnell. He would sell the farm if the pressure was on.

Mitch never fought for Conservatives. Mitch held back the Congress from doing the rights things for the right reasons.

Mike, great work. I applaud your efforts enormously because I presently make more than $36,000 each month from just one straightforward online company! You may begin creating a steady online income with as little as $29,000, and these are only the most basic internet operations jobs.
